<image:caption>BKin, MPT, IMS Anthony is a physiotherapist and the founder of AC Physiotherapy. He earned both his Bachelor of Kinesiology and Master of Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia. Having been involved in competitive and recreational sports from a young age, Anthony has always had a strong interest in movement, performance, and helping people stay active. His approach to physiotherapy focuses on understanding the underlying cause of an injury, helping clients build confidence in their movement, and creating practical treatment plans that support the activities that matter most to them. Anthony has experience treating a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries and uses a combination of manual therapy, IMS/dry needling, education, and individualized exercise rehabilitation. As a former competitive swimmer, he has a particular interest in sports injuries and commonly works with shoulder, knee, and ankle conditions, as well as clients looking to return to sport, exercise, or an active lifestyle. His previous experience also includes working with motion capture athletes and stunt performers at Electronic Arts, giving him additional exposure to the physical demands of high-level and performance-based movement. Outside of the clinic, Anthony enjoys staying active through skiing, cycling, running, and other outdoor activities. He is also a car and motorcycle enthusiast and can often be found working on a project, heading out for a ride, or occasionally testing whether picking up a motorcycle counts as functional strength training. When he is taking it easy, he enjoys spending time at home, playing video games, and of course, hanging out with Poppy. <image:caption>Physiotherapy Assistant, Chief Morale Officer Poppy is AC Physiotherapy’s resident clinic dog and unofficial Physiotherapy Assistant. A mini-Goldendoodle with a passion for people, snacks, and supervising from the most comfortable seat in the room, she takes her role in patient care very seriously. Since joining the AC Physiotherapy team, Poppy has developed a special interest in emotional support, morale boosting, and making sure nobody goes too long without taking a break. Her treatment philosophy is simple: move often, rest when needed, and always reward good behaviour with a treat. Poppy’s clinical duties include greeting patients, supervising exercises, providing encouragement during rehab, and occasionally demonstrating the importance of a good stretch. While she has yet to complete her physiotherapy degree, she makes up for her limited clinical credentials with enthusiasm, excellent bedside manner, and an unwavering commitment to patient happiness. Outside of the clinic, Poppy enjoys going for walks, exploring new places, playing, napping, and following Anthony around to make sure nothing exciting happens without her. She is also an avid believer in recovery days and has personally mastered the art of sleeping after a busy day at the office.
